My Story
A life of faith, family & service
From a humble village home in Gomba to leadership in finance and ministry — this is a journey the Lord has walked with me.
EbenezerThus far the Lord has helped us
Roots & beginnings
Born of humble, faithful parents
I was born in the then Mpigi District — now Gomba District. My home village is Lunene, in Gomba East. It was a humble beginning, surrounded by people of quiet strength and deep faith.
My father, the late Yonasani Kamunyo, served as a Catechist in the Anglican Church — a man who gave his life to the work of the Gospel. My mother, Sarah Kamunyo, was a devoted housewife who held our family together with love and care. From them I learned humility, service, and the meaning of faith lived out daily.
Family & blessings
Blessed with a wonderful family
In 2006 I married my dear wife, Lydia Kusiima Kamya. The Lord has blessed us with three wonderful children — two of whom are a beautiful set of twins.
My family is my greatest joy and my anchor. Everything I do in service to the Church, my work, and my community flows from the love and stability we share at home.
Among the several places I have worked, I have fond memories of Aristock Booklex where i worked as a sales assistant — a post that enabled me to read a great many books. As a lover of books, I enjoyed that workplace very much.— Valentino Kamya
