Pursuits & Interests

Life beyond work

The quiet pursuits that bring rest, perspective and joy — from a good book and a thoughtful game of chess to the open road and the soil of home.

A lover of books

Reading

Reading has been a lifelong companion. My early days at Aristock Booklex surrounded me with books and deepened a love that has never left me — for history, faith, leadership and ideas.

A good book is both teacher and friend: it sharpens the mind, feeds the spirit, and reminds me that learning never ends.

Strategy & patience

Playing Chess

Chess is a game of foresight and patience — qualities that serve as well across a boardroom table as across the board itself. Every move teaches discipline, humility and the value of thinking ahead.

It is a quiet pleasure: an unhurried contest of the mind, and time well spent.

More of what I love

Traveling & farming

Traveling

Seeing new places and meeting new people broadens the heart and the mind. Travel offers fresh perspective, rest from routine, and a deeper appreciation for God's vast and varied world.

Farming

There is honest joy in working the land — patience, stewardship and the steady reward of seeing something grow. Farming keeps me grounded in the rhythms of home and creation.
